Dark Alpha Capital Official Website: Professional Online Presence for a US Private Equity Firm

I landed this project on Upwork as a freelance web developer for Dark Alpha Capital, an independent sponsor private equity firm based in the US. They wanted a clean, professional website that could handle a lot of content without feeling clunky or hard to update. The brief was straightforward: build something that tells their story, showcases their investment approach, and makes it easy for potential investors, talent, and partners to get in touch.

The site is deliberately content-heavy. It includes a full blog section with articles, a careers page, detailed team member profiles, a clear breakdown of their investment criteria, and a straightforward contact page. Everything lives in one place and feels cohesive.

To keep the site flexible, I used Prismic CMS from day one. It lets the team update text, images, blog posts, and team bios themselves without touching any code. That was a game-changer for a firm that moves fast and wants to keep their online presence fresh.

I built the original version with Next.js and React. The performance was solid, the developer experience was great, and it deployed cleanly on Vercel. But as we kept adding features, I decided to future-proof it. I’ve already migrated the entire codebase to TanStack Start. The site runs smoother now, and the move gives us way more deployment options.

The next step (which we’re finishing soon) is shifting everything off Vercel and onto Cloudflare Workers. That’ll bring faster global load times and lower costs while keeping the same great developer experience.

Working on this project felt like a natural extension of the other internal tools I’ve built for Dark Alpha Capital. It’s not just a brochure site — it’s the public face that supports everything else we do internally. Investors land here first, read the latest thinking, see who’s on the team, and then move into the private investor portal I also built for them.

The site is live, actively maintained, and continues to evolve as the firm grows. It’s one of those projects where the client’s goals and the tech choices lined up perfectly, and I’m proud of how it turned out.
